Beauti Control is like Partylite, Avon, Tastefully Simple, etc. in that they do home demo parties. They sell spa products (skin care, anti-aging, exfoliants, etc) and some makeup. I bought brown sugar body scrub, brown sugar body lotion, brown sugar perfume (‘cologne’ they call it, even though its not for men), hand exfoliant, and facial exfoliant. I changed my skin care routine because my skin was really raw and painful feeling. Also, my skin is dry and red and needs extra TLC. I cut out all exfoliants of any kind. I cut out any acne medications that could potentially dry my skin further. I am using the most gentle cleasner I could find along with a topical antioxidant (green tea) Replenix CF Green Tea cream. I also use CeraVe cream and La Roche Posay Anthelios SX sunscreen with mexoryl. I am struggling with both acne and dry skin at the moment and I have been for the past 8 months, unfortunately. I am documenting all my experiences and all my trials and errors on YouTube to hopefully help some people out.
BELOW ARE FACIAL PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ALL SKIN TYPES. The video demonstrates how to properly remove makeup and cleanse your face before preparing for bed. Please RATE & COMMENT ~ Stay BEaUtiful CLEANSE: Suggestions: Purpose, Obagi Clenziderm MD Daily Care Foaming Cleanser, Aveeno, Olay products, Cetaphil, Philosophy, The Body Shop Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser, Clean & Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser -AVOID cleansers with ingredients such as: alcohols, harsh detergents, fragrance, mineral oils, soap, menthol, SLS just to name a few -Dry or Sensitive skin: Use cleansers that are basic and gentle and contain: glycerin & hyaluronic acids (humectants that draw water to the skin), lactic acid, jojoba oil, almond seed oil. -Acne prone and Oily skin: Do not equate tingle with deeper clean. These extra ingredients may feel good, but may cause more harm than good in the long run. DO NOT use products that are drying to your skin…instead use a mild cleanser to calm the skin, restore the skin’s pH and barrier and use moisturizers and or spot treatments that contain ingredients for corrective issues. EXFOLIATE: Suggestions: (Chemical): Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant or Gentle Cream Exfoliant, peel (but consult with doctor prior to use). Also look for products with these ingredients: salicylic acid for acne prone/oily, retinoids, glycolic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid (all in low concentrations between 2%-4%…to avoid irritation…unless under licensed professional’s care …
This video shows a natural way of exfoliating your skin. It simple and super easy. Adding this to your skin regimen at least twice a week will surely produce quality results in your skin. Exfoliation is the shedding of the outer layer of skin which unclogs pores, keeps skin clean, and helps reduce acne breakouts. The best results are achieved when applying this method after cleansing. No harsh chemicals that strip your skin of its natural oils and its a cost saver!!!
